Clear answers about Times Quest
How the platform works for pupils, teachers, tutors and schools.
What is Times Quest?
Times Quest is an Alderon adaptive times-tables practice and progress-monitoring platform for primary-school pupils, teachers, tutors and schools.
How does Times Quest help children learn times tables?
Pupils practise tables and operations assigned by their teacher. Adaptive practice gives extra attention to facts answered incorrectly or too slowly, while saved responses build a clear picture of progress.
Can teachers monitor pupil progress?
Yes. Teachers can see progress through currently assigned facts, fluent facts, usage, heat maps, fact-level evidence and private class leaderboards.
Can a whole school use Times Quest?
Yes. The School plan provides whole-school oversight, class switching, usage and performance information, heat maps, leaderboards and teacher, class and pupil management.
Can private tutors use Times Quest?
Yes. A Tutor organisation supports one tutor and up to 10 tutees without requiring the tutor to register as a school.
Does Times Quest practise division?
Yes. Teachers can assign multiplication only or multiplication with related division.
How does adaptive practice work?
Within the pupil’s assigned tables and operations, facts answered incorrectly or too slowly are brought back for further practice without moving outside assigned learning.
What does Facts Fluent mean?
A fact family is fluent when the latest three required answers are correct and completed within five seconds. If both operations are assigned, multiplication and related division must both meet that rule.
How much does Times Quest cost?
The current standard annual prices are £19 for Tutor, £39 for Class and £199 for School. The Pricing page reads these prices from Times Quest’s plan configuration.
Can I try Times Quest for free?
Yes. Teachers, tutors and schools can start a 7-day trial without entering card details.
